Worked directly with founders Peter and Alex Spalding on a wide range of creative and production projects for their interior design firm, Daniel House. Responsibilities included digitizing Peter Spalding’s hand-drawn illustrations into seamless, repeating patterns using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, contributing to the brand’s signature style and new product collections. Designing catalog layouts and marketing collateral, writing articles for their quarterly publication, and manufacturing of paper goods and textiles. Also photographed products and fundraising events.
Client provided illustrations to which I was requested to design various colorways and create repeating patterns to by used on fabric.
I managed the design and production of quarterly print publications, ensuring cohesive visual direction and high-quality execution. My work involved coordinating with commercial printers and product manufacturers to oversee production standards and deadlines. My creative services also included photography, videography, and professional photo retouching to support product marketing and brand presentation.
As a contract designer for Portland Web Design, I create illustrated website footers for a range of clients and occasionally write blog content for their sister site, Powerfulweb.com. My process begins with reviewing a creative brief that includes reference photos, brand colors, and key community or landscape features. I then develop initial sketches by hand before refining the final artwork in Adobe Illustrator. I collaborate closely with a UX design specialist, who integrates the finished illustration into the website experience.
Below are some blogs I have written for Powerfulweb.com:

Portfolio Class: 4 Week Project
The objective was to design a cat food line that would stand out from other on-shelf brands. Kitty's Kitchen embodies the idea of fresh meals made with love in the safety and comfort of home. The image-dominate design is relatable and the character, Kitty, becomes a trustworthy face sure to be adopted into any household. The typographic detail running along the sides of the packaging acts as an interesting aesthetic as well as a useful resource for tips on caring for your cat. Throughout the packaging, Kitty is seen interacting with different products in a fun way which helps give Kitty’s Kitchen a sense of character and life.

As the story goes...
There once was a boy who had set out to sea with his father. A storm came and he was tossed overboard - but a mermaid saved him from drowning and then disappeared. Now as a young man, he has his own restaurant on the seaside and named it after the mermaid, Delicia. Every evening he watches a lone rock in the ocean and sometimes there he can see the shimmering golden hair and scales of his mermaid.
